SL-M-017
Berlin, the storied capital of Germany, has a bear in both its coat of arms and its name. With a subway system (U-Bahn) and a regional rail system (S-Bahn), I was tempted to design a map in the shape of a bear. Or, in this case, a bear's head.
The stations are where they ought to be, but the tracks are (obviously) not laid, as they are on this map. This is the great fun thing about rail diagrams: There is some play in how to design it. The Studio Legenda Berlin Map takes this to an extreme.
The bear's head forms the center of the map, shaped by the Berliner ring railroad. The map is, of course, green, because you'll find bears in the woods. The rounded curves make this map easier to read.
This map is available as print to order in multiple sizes. By default that's B2, but you can go up to B1 and B0. It gets printed on nice, sturdy 250 grams paper, and shipped directly to your address.
Items that are made to order cannot be returned. If you are unhappy please get in touch and any problems will be attempted to be resolved.
Maps are designed in a country with the metric system. Most posters are designed for the B-standard. You will find the various B-sizes and dimensions in centimeters and inches below.
| B-size | Width x height (cm) | Width x height (inch) |
| B2 | 50 x 70 | 19.7 x 27.6 |
| B1 | 70 x 100 | 27.6 x 39.4 |
| B0 | 100 x 141 | 39.4 x 55.5 |
Post cards, rare maps, or smaller prints may be produced using the A-standard.
| A-size | Width x height (cm) | Width x height (inch) |
| A6 | 10,5 x 14,8 | 4.1 x 5.8 |
| A5 | 14,8 x 21 | 5.8 x 8.3 |
| A4 | 21 x 29,7 | 8.3 x 11.7 |
| A3 | 29,7 x 42 | 11.7 x 16.5 |
| A2 | 42 x 59,4 | 16.5 x 23.4 |
| A1 | 59,4 x 84 | 23.4 x 33.1 |
| A0 | 84 x 118,8 | 33.1 x 46.8 |
