Dutch Postcode Map

The Dutch Postal Code Map of the Netherlands is truly a unique map. Every municipality is on this map, with every first two digits of the Dutch postal code system (postcode) represented in it. At the bottom you'll find a bit of history about the unique Dutch postal code, as well as how it works.

The Dutch postal code system is unique in the world. It's the only one where you only need the postcode along with a house number to find any address in the Netherlands. The alphanumerical code with its six digits has been designed to be efficient. And it is.

Building the map using merely hexagons and municipalities distorts and warps the shape of the country. It includes a history and explanation of how the Dutch system works. As well as a color-coded index of all postcodes per province.

The map is in Dutch. Printed on premium, 200 grams paper. It's B2-sized (50x70 centimeters) and - just as other maps - is shipped rolled up.
